The Adventurer's Creed

By Prell the Adventurer, Year 734

You have chosen a hard road, fellow adventurer, but a noble one. I offer you my words. If they ring true, let them be your creed. Hold them, keep them, and in time they shall be yours, as they are mine.

1) An adventurer sets things right. He clears the path, mends the bridge, binds the wound. For all that is good and beautiful in this life stands at war with chaos. Thus, the adventurer must take the side of life, and where life falters, he throws in his weight. Use your strength, brave adventurer. You have much to give.

2) An adventurer keeps moving. It is not enough to slay the beast, for nothing good no matter how sweet endures without effort. Stop too long, and comfort shall steal your purpose, and the fog returns.

3) An adventurer seeks. He asks what must be asked. He goes to the depths where none will go. For the gods have willed it, that the key ingredient most often lies hidden. By humble curiosity, the new is found.

4) An adventurer trusts his heart. By it, no trick may fool him, no spell may bind him, no tyrant may use him. By his heart the adventurer navigates the infinite forest we call life, trusting that even if no path exists, one shall be made.

Onward brave adventurer. All you need, you have.
