Machinists Investigation - Letter 3
By King Thalorin, Year 1133
To the Archmage Selthir, Leader of the Council of Wizards,
It is with great disappointment and concern that I pen this missive. I had placed my faith in the Council of Wizards and the promises made in your response two months ago. Yet, as time marches on, my concerns have only grown, and the Machinists continue their enigmatic pursuits unhindered.
Despite your assurances and the formation of a specialized task force, there has been a palpable lack of progress. I have received word from various sources that the Machinists have allegedly achieved the unthinkable: creating life itself. This is a development that cannot be ignored or downplayed, and I demand to know how this is possible.
The Machinists, with their temples built away from our cities, may believe they are exempt from the jurisdiction of our kingdom and its laws. This cannot stand. As King, it is my duty to protect my people from any threats, be they near or far, seen or unseen. The potential danger posed by these life-creating Machinists is a matter of grave concern, and it falls upon the Council of Wizards to provide answers and guidance.
I implore you, with the utmost urgency, to take this matter seriously and to dedicate every resource at your disposal to uncover the truth behind the Machinists' actions. The safety and future of our kingdom are at stake, and we cannot afford to be complacent in the face of the unknown.
I expect regular and informative reports from the Council of Wizards, detailing the progress made in this investigation. Any further delays or obfuscation will be deemed unacceptable, and I shall consider more drastic measures to ensure the security of Aldrova.
I trust that you will take these words to heart and act with the urgency and diligence required of your esteemed positions.
For the safety and prosperity of our kingdom,
His Majesty, the Third King of Aldrova
